Hunting

Just a lovely picture of me. I need new boots though.. These give me blisters and they leak. The next picture is Jeffs 2-point.. It was my first to help with. I had to even touch it.. It was still warm. I think I am official because I got bloody. (didn't gag once) Then ate a sandwich. hehehe... (wrapped in tissue)

Gee I have no new pictures to put up. My news is that JJ will be home on Thursday. I am thrilled. Him and his dad will go hunting for a week then he will be home until November 17th. It will go so fast. On the 10th I will have my gallbladder removed. Oh Joy... I would put it off until next year but the Dr didn't advise it. (denial... who me?). I have to be 100% for the Thanksgiving Hair rush. 10 shampoo sets the day before . My arms are already complaining... I was just talking and said to a one lady that everyone may have to wash their own hair she said what a great idea.. for everyone but herself of course. I just HAD to wash her hair. ?? They are all so understanding. hmmm. Got to get ready to go hunting. We saw 2 doe.. 4 elk and a bear. Last week. That was thrilling. I told Jeff I wanted to go out again and get/see that bear. Oh course he explained that I probably will never see another bear for the rest of my hunting life.. Darn... It was thrilling anyway...

Garden goodies

So I gathered my "crop" yesterday. Had no idea I had so many squash. Some of them are 'squashkin's' The pumpkins have been orange for a month already. They will probably be a little slimy around Halloween. This bush is loaded with jalapenos. I made Jeff a fresh salsa out of it and there was absolutely no bite what so ever. I was disappointed. I was thinking about canning them. After I cut them up I told Jeff to remind me to not touch my eyes. He cut one up and stuck in on his pizza. What did he do.... rub his eyes. lol. I even warned him.
My one and only dahlia. For orange it's pretty.

Now the back yard looks much better with all the sprawling vines and rotten onions, yellow cucumbers (not supposed to be) and such out. We put a screen over it so the cats stay out. he he he... just left the carrots that are only an inch long. They got run over, covered and pushed out by the squash and pumpkins.

Dad's pepper

Here is one of Dad's peppers he grew. We put a coffee cup next to it to show it's gigantic size.

Our Florida adventure....

Our Florida trip was quite an adventure. This is what JJ wore when he picked us up at the airport. Jeff is always bugging him to send us a picture in is abu's. He is hard to get a picture of.... The first night J went back to his barracks and came back the next morning. But before he could get to us, we watched the news. And oh no. Tornado warnings. Flooding. Hail storms. We were a bit nervous. What does a visitor do . All I could think of was I guess we all get into the bathroom and stay. But we had no snacks. That worried me. LOL LOL. J wasn't a bit. He told us to calm down. It was a bit freakish to be somewhere and you are advised to seek shelter. Anyway our first outing was to breakfast and as you can see the weather was horrid. That was a down spout out the restaurant window. The standing water on the road must have been 8 inches deep.

Out our room's window. It wasn't nasty at that time. Believe me it was much worse.

Nasty, rotten day. The three of them went out to see the beach... I stayed in the car and read my book. But only for about 4 min.. they were running back and looked like this when they got in. Hehehe.

We ate at Joe's crab shack. The kids shared a bucket of seafood. J was too slow and Jeri got the better half of it. It was fun to watch them get all sloppy and drippy. Everything had crab on it. Even my chicken.

A very big seafood fan..

Since we had such glorious weather.... we resorted to cleaning JJ's room. Notice the "racks" calendar on the wall and the Christmas tree still up. It's very organized and clean now. Tree's still up...

These are the shells we found in the sand. The sand is actually very white and has the consistency of brown sugar. A very pretty beach..

This weather on this beach is so beautiful I could have stayed there all day .. But I got fried. My forehead was a beacon for a few days. Maybe it was a good thing the weather was lousy.

This is across the bay/inlet?? from our hotel room. That is where we want to stay next time if the weather permits. I think this is Oskaloosa Island... Jeff said he could just see the tops of the waves on the far rights side when it was really rough.. Yup I want to stay there..

Our room was on the ground floor, right behind J's car.

This dock was in front of our hotel. (well I guess this is the back of the hotel.) We went out there at night and watched all the lights and water. A guy came everyday and fished off of it. Not any beach to speak of tho. We drove around the area most of the time. It is very green and lush. Oh and WET.

TOLO 2009

Tolo 2009. Jeri had a great time. They held it at Indian Summer Golf Course in Olympia. Her group of kids started out at the Deans house with pictures and coursages. This first picture on the right is Jeris shoes since they got cut out of my favorite picture of her. Aren't they cute? The next pictures are of all the kids waiting for the limo. Such a great idea to do. No kids driving.

Snow....

Ok.. so I had to get the dog on here too. She must need a haircut (been too cold), because I can't see her eyes. She loves to play in the snow. But when it started to rain, she really didn't want anything to do with it.. Me neither.

Went on Saturday to pick JJ up at the airport. We went up to the snow in Ashford and to Cabela's. He wanted Mexican and Chinese to eat while he's been home. Check off Mexican (twice) and this weekend we will do the Chinese.. MMM.

Eatonvile snow

Here is our last sonw. It was so beautiful. Now we are flooding.??? Gees..
